HUMANS in Games

Humans in Games

One industry. Many people. All human.

Because Every Human Deserves a Place to Create and Play.

Mission

Our Mission

Humans in Games is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that every human has a fair, safe, and respectful place in gaming. We believe gaming is at its best when it is built by people who feel seen, valued, and supported. We reject labels and box-checking approaches that divide individuals into categories, and instead focus on humanity, merit, creativity, and compassion. Our goal is to help shape a games industry where opportunity is based on talent and integrity—and where no one is excluded because of who they are or where they come from.

We are just beginning our journey, but our vision is clear: a healthier, more human future for games.

Where We Are Now

We are currently in our foundation phase, focused on lowering financial and structural barriers for talented people. Right now, we are:

  • Developing in-house curriculum and live bootcamps, informed by real industry needs and delivered at radically accessible prices
  • Assembling an advisory board of experienced industry professionals whose roles span development, production, hiring, and leadership—helping guide curriculum, identify systemic barriers, and keep our programs grounded in current realities
  • Building partnerships with studios, educators, and advocates who want to help open doors—not just offer advice

Looking ahead: These cohorts form the foundation of a broader access ecosystem. As we grow, we intend to connect learning outcomes with showcases, job fairs, a human-centered job board, and ongoing industry insight—so talent is developed, seen, and supported in context, not isolation.

Who We're Looking For

We welcome humans from all walks of life, including:

  • Industry professionals
  • Indie developers and creators
  • Educators and mentors
  • Community leaders
  • Advocates for fair and healthy work environments

If you care about games and the people who make them, there is a place for you here.

We're here to help.
